Cyber Smart ( think before you post)

Hank took a photo of himself and flippantly posted it online. “No worries, my account settings are set on private so no one but my friends will see this” he thought. But really, because of one untrust worthy friend, it was shown to the whole world.

He was disregarding the dangers of what was happening around. Everyone saw the picture that he uploaded and it was unbeknownst to her. Once he found out that people around the world saw his photo, he regreted it because he couldn’t delete the photo off Facebook. “What if my family sees” she said to herself.Too often these days, people post photos on face book with little thought of the consequences. WE WANT YOU...TO BE CYBER-SMART!!!
The reason why you should listen to me is because unfortunately, in the future, you might not get unemployed because of the negative footprints that you have left behind. Because of one photo that you have posted, people might think that you have a bad background and the job might not go to you.

Another reason why you shouldn’t post up photos of yourself is because other dodgy people might pick it up and try to connect with you (in a bad way). You might think that your settings are on private, but really it is not. From one press of a button, that photo will be exposed to the world. You might have to face some serious ramifications.

The last reason why you should listen to the man himself is because, when you talk about someone on face book dis respectfully, you are actually making them feel bad. The person that you are saying it to, might do some bad things to them selves because of what you said about them. If you can’t say it to their face, then don’t say it on face book or to anyone else. DON’T BE SCARED.

Camp Bentzon... the best camp site I have ever been to in my live! The Camp site had lots of amazing activity's there like an abseiling wall,Fitness trial, Orienteering round the island, sailing an Optimist,kayaking,a Burma trail, concourse,Making Bivowacs and rafts. I forgot the long walk to the other site of the island.
We had free time every night, the options that were there to play was Volley ball (Witch I am the KING),Cricket,Baseball,Football,play on the Playground, and Swimming. Most of the time I was playing Volley and on the playground. Swimming was not really fun because is was mostly shallow when we were there but it was still fun jumping of the pontoon.
Spotlight was really fun like really fun but Samuela and I kept on getting caught by the teachers because Samuela aways told up and got us out. Our last time hiding we found this tree that was hollow and we hoped in to it. We were there for a long time until the burgle went off and we didn’t get found but we did not win.
The last day of camp was really sad because I didn’t want to leave the island. It was still fun because we had a sports morning on the last day. Football,Volleyball,Baseball in the bush, and swimming.
Kauwau island is an incredible place to have a adventure every ware on the island. There is no place I want to be then Camp Bentzon!!!

Fun Times At Tennis

Tennis,Tennis,Tennis what a exciting sport to play is the summer. Room18 think tennis is a Fantastic sport to participate in because we have took part in playing it at school. Do you think that tennis is fun?

Equipment, you need to play a sport like tennis. First you got to have when you play tennis is a racket because if you don’t have one you will not get a go at it. Next you always,always and always have a ball because it is a wast of time playing if you don’t have a tennis ball.
Do you like having fun? I do, we had a lot of fun playing tennis(enjoyment). King of the court was my favorite game that we played(AWESOME). You sould play King of the court some day.

As I said when I started that tennis is really fun and a (EXCITING) sport to play and I meant that. It is a enjoyable game to Discover.

ALL BLACKS

Who thought that the All Blacks would win the William Webb Elise Cup? I did! I knew that the AB’s (All Blacks) were going to win, even though I did have a funny feeling in my gut that France was very capable of stealing our prize.
8 to 7 was the last score for the game, it was really close for the Grand Final. All blacks first try and only try was from Tony Woodcock, he found a gap in the line out and he went for it. Terry Doustouir was the France captain and he got a try for them to come back in the game. He was the Man of the match because he had a brilliant game.
I Can not still believe that the All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup 2011...

The value Caring - what it looks sounds and feels like

Who knows what caring looks, feels and sounds like? It looks like you are helping a person whose sad. Really its like our doing something for a old person, so it’s just like you’re walking her or him across the road. You’re helping a kid that has been badly hurt and has been crying.



I think that caring sounds like you can hear someone that helping a person that is lost, you can hear something that is helping a Elderly cross the road. You can hear a person that is helping a little boy who’s sad. It is like you can hear a person that is crying and someone that is helping him.


Caring feels like your helping someone that is really going to die and deep down in your heart that you don’t want her to die and you try to help her, that is what I think caring feels like. It feels like when you get a dog and you look after it. Caring feels like your helping someone that is really sad.

My favorite NRL player"CHRIS SANDOW"

Chris Sandow is my favorite player in NRL because in every game he plays he gets a try or sets up a try, witch is very good. One game that I saw, he got a drop kick from the half away line, he won the match for the Rabbitohs. Chris Sandow is going to play for the Parramatta eels next year and that is very sad for the Rabbitohs.

First Writing For Term 1

Going back to school is really cool because you get to learn a new topic. This term our topic is keep your I on the ball which means that you souled be focus on your work at all times. The topic is base on the Rugby World Cup.
My goals this term is my writing, maths and keeping focus on my work. Another goal is my reading because I am reading at a 6.0 level, I need to be reading at a 6.7. Have you got goals?
The thing that is on this term is room18 won a points game, if you get a bin it you get 50 points. You can get points other ways to. Room 18 don’t know what the trip is.

playing rugby leauge with jounior Warriors

As we arrived at the courts outside the office, we were excited because two of the Junior Warriors came to teach us some basic skills of rugby league. The first thing they did was to introduce their names to us. One of the players were called Siua and the other called Saliva.
After they told us their names we were ready to play a very awesome game called ball Tiggy. We had to split into two different even teams so we could have a brilliant game. The teams were blue and green, do you think which team we were in? The team we were in was blue, if you guess blue you a absolutely correct!!
Force back was the next game we played. I didn’t understand what game we were playing because Siua called it kick tennis and I was confused. Siua explain how to play kick tennis so I thought we are going to play Force back. As we played force back James and I really enjoyed playing it.
I wish the Junior Warriors could come back again!!!!

Part 2 of my story about my Birthday

Hi again I am going to tell you what happened after my Birthday party on Friday.
On Saturday me and my family went shopping to get some stuff like t-shirts and jeans. When we got there we went to have something to eat and then we went to the warehouse. I got lost in the warehouse because it is really big.
Warehouse had a lot of stuff there so I went to go look at the shoes but they did not have the shoes I like. I was going to get a chocolate bar but I was not told to get one so I didn’t. after shopping at the warehouse we went home and watched some movies.
The things I got for my Birthday was A Puma Jumper, a Adidas jacket and a t-shirt but it was to small. $85 that is a lot of money but I am getting some more. I hope you like my story of what happened on Saturday.

It's my Birthday today

I am going to tell you something, it is my Birthday today so sit back and I will tell you what I am doing.
Today is my Birthday and I am turning the big 11. It is really cool when it is your Birthday because you get a lot of money to buy lots of cool stuff.I was born in June the 17, 2000 at 5.40, so that means I am all ready 11. It is really cool when it is your Birthday.
For my Birthday I am having a party at my house and all my family is going to be there. My family will be at my house at 5.30 so I have to get ready at 5.00. If it was your Birthday today wood you invite your family?
I’m going to the pools after the party the next day . I hope you like my story, This is part 1.

Some of the sports I played last week.

I’ve played lots of sports for the school last week. This is my first time playing for the school
since I’ve been here. So sit back and I will tell you what I did last week.
On Tuesday afternoon I played rugby for the school! We played Holly Cross at the school grounds. They were big but I said to my team mates that don’t care how big they are just try and break there line. But we let them get points on the score board. They scored 7 tries and we scored 2 tries.
On Wednesday me and my friends went to play in a Netball tournament. my team that I played in was the over 10’s and the team was mixed, girls and boys. It was cool because we won the tournament.
Thursday was the rest day for me because I was exhausted from all of the sports I played last week. It is cool playing sports for the school. Thanks for looking at my work.

Our Topic This Term Is....

Bigger Better Stronger Faster!That is what we are learning about. I thought we were going to learn something that was boring but we are learning about this cool topic .
At the assembly, all of the teachers dressed up crazy because every time we have an assembly at the first day of the term, that's what they do. This term is going to be awesome because we have a lot of things to learn about. After the assembly I can not wait to learn more about Bigger Better Stronger Faster.

My 2010 Reflection

What I’ve enjoyed this year is playing lots of games, going to camp and playing sports. My best memories in this class is playing cards and being bored when I have homework detention. Things I’ve in proved the most is maths, reading, writing. I felt proud when I saw the results for maths, reading and writing. Goals that I have next year is using google apps proply and having a cool blog. I think I could work harder at is my reading activities.

Swimming

The things that I enjoyed most about swimming is learning how to snorkel, swimming by walking and dolphin diving. Dolphin diving is really cool because you get to jump up and down in the water,” its fun’’. Snorkeling is exiting for me because I could breathe under water.
Goals that I have achieved are; swimming freestyle properly and learning the safety sign. The safety sign is when you are in the water and you think you’re going to die, that’s the best time to do it. Swimming properly helps you swim more effeciently.

Monarch Butterfles

Generation after generation the monarch Butterfly lay eggs which make a Caterpillar that grows up to be a new butterfly. The Caterpillars that hatches from the egg eats poison milk weed for 2 reasons. Firstly so that the Caterpillar can be fat and have energy to turn into a butterfly. Secondly, when the butterfly is older the poison remains in its abdomen. This prevents predators from eating it.

Do you think eating a lot of food is helpful for the Caterpillar?

Yes I do because they get big and fat so it can be a butterfly.

Caterpillars turn in to a chrysalis in order to become a butterfly. The chrysalis starts out green, but just before the butterfly comes out it turns black like the ash from a fire.

As it emerges slowly, it takes its time because the butterfly must dry out his wings before it can fly.

Tarantula

A Tarantula stalks and hunts rats, getting ready to pounce in the darkness. Lurking for it’s prey, the Tarantula senese a victim with hairs on it’s 8 red knees. Under the cover of darkness it strikes unexpectedly with it’s razor sharp fang’s dripping with venon.

Honey Bee

Honey bees flit their wings as they zigzag and dodge through leaves to collect nectar. Do you think nectar is precious to honey bees? I do, because it's their yummy food and it is also used to make honey.

Killing Captain Max

Unfortunately AJ had been kicked out of school and his only option was to become a pirate - just like his dad had been. His main dream was to kill that man that had murdered his father, only 10 years earlier.
When he was at the dock this strange man came up to him and said ”Do you want to be a pirate?” Next thing he knew AJ was laying on the ground. So when he got up he saw he was on the Heartbreaker Ship. Looking out to sea, AJ was so amazed. The strange man came up to him again and said “So, do you want to be a pirate?” AJ replied “Yeah I will be a pirate.” “Well my name is Captain Max.” said the strange man.

AJ’s mother was very sad as she had always wanted a better life for her son. But she knew that she must wish him well. As a sign of good luck she gave AJ his father’s lucky eye patch to carry with him always.

AJ had found the person who had killed his father, the very same captain of the boat he was sailing on! - Captain Max. He found out some Information that Max killed my dad. He went in his room and was looking for him and when he saw him he was on the ground holding a picture of dad and said I am sorry that I killed you.
AJ knew that he had to take revenge for his father. Very quietly he snuck up behind Captain Max and said calmly, “I know you killed my father!”
The battle began. AJ tried to kill Max but no matter how hard he tried he just couldn’t because Max was his Dad’s best mate. AJ asked Max “Why did you murder my dad?” “Because I wanted to be the best on the ship and to be Captain.” Max answered. Then he got down on his knees and started to beg “I am sorry for killing your dad, I’m sorry!” AJ didn’t care. He cut his head off and then gave it to the sharks.
Captain AJ took his new prize and sailed North, up the Eastern coast of the Americas. Here he was able to discover a new island, he named it East Lossandos. The island was filled with all kinds of exotic fruits. AJ knew that he needed to eat lots of fruit to save himself from scurvy.

His journey home was very long because there was this massive ship in front of the Heart Breaker. AJ tried to go around the ship but it was to huge, so the he couldn’t belive he had to wait and wait. On the next day the ship was gone, AJ said now we can go back home.

When he got to the dock his Mum was there waiting for him. AJ got off the ship and gave his Mum a kiss and said I killed the man who murdered dad. His Mum was proud of him and glad.
